What We Collect

When you create an account, we collect your email address and a hashed password. We do not store your password in plain text.

When you use the site, we may collect:

• Page views and usage data — which pages you visit and how you interact with them, subject to your consent
• Device information — browser type and device category (desktop/mobile), derived from your request headers
• Hashed IP address — we one-way hash your IP address with a rotating salt. We never store your raw IP address.

Tracking Consent

We ask for your consent before collecting usage data. If you decline, we do not track page views or site interactions beyond what is necessary to serve the page. You can change your preference at any time by clearing the _tracking_consent cookie.

How We Use Your Data

• To provide and improve the service
• To send you content emails (weekly hearing digests) if you have subscribed
• To understand how the platform is used, in aggregate

We do not sell your data. We do not share your data with third parties for advertising purposes.

Third-Party Services

We use the following services to operate the platform:

• Vercel — hosting and serverless functions
• SendGrid — email delivery for content digests
• Neon — database hosting

These services may process your data as described in their own privacy policies. We do not use any third-party analytics or advertising services.

Data Retention

Account data is retained while your account is active. Usage data is aggregated into daily statistics and raw events are retained for operational purposes. You can request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us.

Your Rights

You may:

• Request access to the data we hold about you
• Request deletion of your account and data
• Unsubscribe from emails at any time via the unsubscribe link in any email
• Decline tracking consent via the banner or by clearing your cookies

Email Communications

If you subscribe to our weekly digests, each email includes a one-click unsubscribe link. We honor unsubscribe requests immediately.
